A Career in Dentistry Taught Me This:
Success Without Filfillment Isn't Success at All
For more than 40 years, dentistry was my world.
I spent 36 of those years as a solo practice owner: working hard, doing good clinical work, and believing that effort alone would eventually lead to ease and prosperity.
It didn’t.
By my 50s, despite years in practice, I was living paycheck to paycheck. I was 35 pounds overweight, exhausted, and deeply unhappy. From the outside, things looked fine. On the inside, I knew something wasn’t working.
That moment became a turning point.
With the help of a therapist, a peak performance coach, nutritionist, personal trainers, and the right practice and financial guidance, I began rebuilding, not just my business, but my life. Over time, I regained my health, clarified my values, sold my dental practice, and stepped into work that felt aligned, purposeful, and energizing.

Why I Work With Dentists Today
I work with dentists who want a more prosperous and fulfilling career, without sacrificing their health, relationships, or sense of self.
I understand the pressure of the operatory and the weight that comes home with you at night. I also understand what’s possible when you slow down, get honest, and begin making intentional changes.
My work blends:
- Real-world dental experience
- Leadership and mindset coaching
- Practical wisdom
- Deep respect for the human behind
the profession
I believe dentists deserve more than survival.
They deserve clarity, confidence, energy, and
a life they actually enjoy.

I believe dentists deserve more than survival. They deserve clarity, confidence, energy, and a life they actually enjoy.
I don’t believe in asking others to pursue balance, health, or growth if I’m not doing the same.
I’ve recommitted to living a healthy, active life, physically and mentally. At age 66, I held a plank for 10½ minutes, and I continue to set new personal benchmarks each year. Not to prove anything, but to remind myself that growth doesn’t stop unless we decide it does.
